As you probably guessed by our business name, the items we sell are handmade – even some of our print-on-demand fabrics start off from hand paintings or drawings first. Being handmade is at the core of our business and we believe it adds a unique design and style element simply because no two products are exactly alike. There are no perfect straight lines nor precisely shaped sizes.
Handmade items by nature have imperfections – although we are thorough, there are still inconsistencies to each item. Just think of it as our way of always reminding you our hands prepped and made your item.
Our images, descriptions and measurements are intended to best portray our products but due to the variations in computers and the brightness and contrast settings for each machine, we cannot guarantee with any certainty that the colour represented in a product image on your screen is exactly how it appears in real life.
What’s a person to do? – Simple! When your items arrive – enjoy each piece, imperfections and all!
Care for your new product(s) as follows:
Table Linens: Machine wash cold on gentle. For best results, dry flat.
Clutches and Totes: HAND WASH ONLY. Dry flat. Do not place in a washing machine or a clothes dryer as this may damage parts of your handbag.
Zippered Pouches: We highly recommend you HAND WASH these items. For best results, dry flat.
Ties and Bow Ties: We highly recommend you HAND WASH these items. For best results, dry flat.
Cravats and Pocket Squares: Machine wash cold on gentle. For best results, dry flat.
Jewelry and Wall Hangings: Spot clean as necessary with soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Washing Methods and Products: We recommend gently washing your products with soapy water or a gentle, natural environmentally-friendly washing liquid. If a stain-removal product is used there can be no guarantee how your product will react to the chemicals in that product.
We always love creating new products however due to the amount of requests we receive, custom orders will need to be reviewed on an individual basis to determine material and labour needs. Custom order requests may take up to 2 weeks to respond to so please be patient as we are probably putting product together (or walking the dog).
Our site is set up with maximum convenience for you – our customer! Unfortunately, sometimes adding in convenience means not every discrepancy is caught. Where the same product is listed in more than one area of our website with different prices, we’ll honour the lower price – naturally!
West Coast Handmade currently accepts payment through Paypal or Square.
West Coast Handmade understands that shipping rates can greatly increase the costs of goods when purchased online.
For orders that reach a minimum of $200, WCHM offers FREE SHIPPING!
For orders under the $200 minimum, West Coast Handmade offers Standard Flat Rate Shipping for Canada, the United States and several International destinations. For those International destinations not listed below, please review our policies under International Shipping for additional information.
The following Standard Flat Shipping Rates and Carriers apply:
* Canada – $12 flat shipping rate shipped through Canada Post
* United States – $17 flat shipping rate shipped through Canada Post
* Mexico -$20 flat shipping rate shipped through Canada Post
* United Kingdom – $25 flat shipping rate shipped through Canada Post

We happily support and love our international customers. We do the best to accommodate the Standard Flat Rate Shipping Policy for all our orders however some International Orders may require additional postage and customs clearance. For those International locations not listed under our Shipping Section, please contact us (email@example.com) for additional information on shipping rates so we can best accommodate you.
West Coast Handmade is not responsible for duty or brokerage fees for international shipping. These charges come from your country during importation of your package. West Coast Handmade is not responsible for any delays that may result in additional customs screening or for delays caused by shipping companies.
West Coast Handmade does not offer expedited shipping at this time. We make every effort to ship your product in a timely fashion.
Items are non-refundable and non-returnable. We take great care to ensure products are handmade to the highest quality possible; however, should you experience defective craftsmanship within 30 days of your purchase, please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible so we can rectify the situation. We may request pictures of the product to further review options with you. More than anything, we want you to be happy with your purchase so please ensure to get in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss options to fix the situation.
